General Dynamics IT invites you to join as a Technical Design Manager supporting the New York State of Health (NYSOH) platform. You will guide technical design across complex application components, collaborating with architects, PMs, and dev teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will mentor senior designers, drive architectural alignment, and ensure scalable, secure delivery while advancing customer outcomes and program goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in IT infrastructure and design.
• Experience leading design and development for complex enterprise systems.
• Customer-focused and able to collaborate with stakeholders across teams.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop efficient, scalable solutions for complex applications.
• Lead technical design sessions and advise on requirements, timelines, risks.
• Translate requirements into detailed technical design artifacts (diagrams, API specs).
• Develop authentication/authorization modules for multiple user types.
• Provide expert consultation on development practices and Drools DRL design.
• Ensure compliance with NYSOH architecture standards and lead design alignment.
• Mentor mid-level developers and oversee task estimation and prioritization.
• Lead defect triage and perform root-cause analysis before release.
