Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant legal or insurance experience in general liability.
• Juris Doctorate with insurance coverage or defense litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-exposure bodily injury and property damage claims nationwide (excl. NY).
• Manage all aspects of claim handling: investigation, coverage, evaluation, litigation.
• Set case resolution strategies and lead mediations/trials in complex claims.
• Develop and implement claim resolution strategies; identify cases for trial.
• Select, retain, direct defense counsel on litigated cases.
• Collaborate with Underwriting on trends impacting product lines.
• Lead special projects; travel for mediations and trials as needed.
