Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group seeks a Technical Claims Consultant specialized in Casualty Claims with CGL expertise. This full-time, exempt role offers a hybrid schedule (two days in the office) at Phoenix, AZ, and other listed offices. You will analyze complex claims, coordinate with legal teams, and contribute to high-stakes outcomes.

You will independently investigate, negotiate, and manage reserves while mentoring junior adjusters and ensuring regulatory compliance across the claims lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5+ years industry experience.
• Expert in negotiating complex claims.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate moderate to complex claims.
• Collaborate with experts to evaluate claims.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and negotiate settlements.
• Manage litigation budgets and coordinate with counsel.
• Draft coverage letters and interpret policies.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and drive consensus.
• Mentor less experienced adjusters.
