• Proactively manage professional liability claims, including E&O and MPL litigation.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage issues, and issue coverage letters and documentation.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves for claims.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Ensure claims are handled per best practices and resolved timely and cost-effectively.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Claim Manager specializing in Design Professionals/Construction to join a team. This role involves managing professional liability claims, including Errors and Omissions (E&O) and miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in claims handling, coverage analysis, and litigation management.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary Range: $115,778 - $168,746 per year + bonus opportunities

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage professional liability claims, including Errors and Omissions (E&O) and miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) litigation.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage issues, and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves for claims.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including contractual indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company best practices and resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims handling or litigation, with a focus on professional liability claims.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures related to professional liability claims.
• Proficiency in proactive investigation, risk transfer, attorney management, and claims resolution.
