Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks a Technical Claim Manager specializing in Design Professionals/Construction to lead professional liability claims, including E&O and MPL litigation. The role requires handling coverage analyses, investigations, and litigation management with senior stakeholders.

Qualified candidates have a JD (preferred), a BA/BS in a related field, and at least 5 years in claims handling or litigation for professional liability. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or related field; JD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of claims handling or litigation experience with a focus on professional liability.
• Strong knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures related to professional liability claims; proficient in investigation, risk transfer, attorney management, and claims resolution.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage professional liability claims, including E&O and MPL litigation.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage issues, and issue coverage letters and documentation.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves for claims.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Ensure claims are handled per best practices and resolved timely and cost-effectively.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.
