NXT is seeking a Technical Architect to oversee major projects involving integration, implementation and transition of large systems. The role blends design leadership with hands-on architecture work, supporting e-government or similar complex environments.

The position offers hybrid work with client site in Baltimore, MD and remote work options, and emphasizes growth and leadership opportunities in a dynamic, young organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
• At least 10 years designing and implementing IT application systems.
• At least 6 years designing medium to large-scale sites and managing five Internet projects.
• Led or served as chief architect in a major IT applications implementation effort.
• Strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and business acumen.

Responsabilités

• Designs, develops and implements IT architecture for major projects.
• Provides technical design and implementation of the architecture.
• Designs, develops and maintains infrastructure and backend applications.
• Provides expertise on broadband and wireless applications.
• Defines current state architecture blueprints.
• Experience with web servers, gateways, and application servers and CMS.
• Researches new technologies for applicability to business processes.
• Ensure development aligns with standards and milestones.
