Job summary

Specialty1 Partners in Houston, TX seeks an Internal Accounting Auditor to support accounting and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP. You will research complex guidance, prepare memoranda, and assist with financial statements and footnotes.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate conclusions to management, auditors, and stakeholders. This is an in-person role.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience researching and applying U.S. GAAP in complex accounting areas.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and financial statement disclosures.
• Public accounting experience with a national or regional CPA firm is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret complex accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and assist with financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Support various strategic and ad hoc accounting projects.
• Lead technical accounting assessments for significant and non-routine transactions.
