Job summary

Regal Executive Search is seeking an Accounting Advisory Senior Associate in Houston, TX to serve as a top technical accounting expert. You will handle complex GAAP matters, prepare audit-ready financial statements, and support SEC filings for companies undergoing significant changes.

You will interpret FASB codification, draft technical memos, and contribute to policy architecture with Big 4/Top 10 background. Strong Excel and ERP experience required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (specifically).
• Experience: 2–5 years in heavy accounting; Big 4/Top 10 Audit Seniors or Financial Reporting roles.
• Certification: Active CPA license highly preferred.
• Technical mastery: Deep knowledge of ASC and financial statement mechanics.
• Software: Advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Workday.

Responsibilities

• Complex Technical Research interpreting ASC standards (606, 842, 326, 805).
• Lead preparation of audit-ready financial statements and SEC filings (10-K,10-Q, S-1).
• Remediate audits, fix reconciliations, and restate financials as needed.
• Develop formal accounting policies for global enterprises.
• Perform technical accounting due diligence for business combinations.
