Specialty1 Partners is seeking an Internal Accounting Auditor to support accounting and financial reporting functions. The role includes researching U.S. GAAP, preparing technical memoranda, and assisting with audits.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 4–7+ years of experience, and familiarity with healthcare companies.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience researching and applying U.S. GAAP in complex accounting areas.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and financial statement disclosures.
• Public accounting experience with a national or regional CPA firm is strongly preferred.
• Healthcare, multi-location, or private equity-backed company experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the SVP of Accounting during and post audit.
• Review journal entries for adherence to GAAP standards.
• Research and analyze complex accounting matters.
• Evaluate implications of significant transactions including acquisitions and leases.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda documenting conclusions.
• Monitor and evaluate new accounting pronouncements.
• Assist in implementing new accounting standards.
• Serve as a technical accounting resource.
• Support preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
