Job summary

Gravie is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join the Finance & Accounting team. You will serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting matters, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and partnering across the company on new transactions and initiatives.

The role involves drafting memos, monitoring standards, guiding close processes, and mentoring a team to improve accounting controls and disclosures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting or technical accounting in industry.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606/480/815/470/825.
Excellent research, analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Research and document the company's accounting positions on complex or non-routine transactions.
Draft technical memos and position papers for management and external auditors.
Monitor FASB updates and lead implementation of new standards.
Partner with FP&A, Legal, Treasury and business teams on new deals and initiatives.
Support the month-end and quarter-end close for technical accounting areas.
Assist in cash flow statement and debt covenant reporting preparation.
Prepare annual impairment analyses on goodwill and intangibles.
Assist with GAAP disclosures and equity-related schedules.
Coordinate with external valuation specialists as needed.
Provide mentorship and help improve accounting processes.
