Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; or Florida seeks a Senior Commercial Lines Technology Underwriter to join our growing team. This role targets technology risk for middle-market accounts with a focus on profitable growth and disciplined risk selection.

You will apply technical underwriting concepts, pricing knowledge, and data analysis to support quotes and authorizations, while mentoring colleagues and coordinating with agents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Generally, 5-10+ years standard commercial lines experience and 5+ years in Technology industry.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) with internal/external partners.
• Good judgment to negotiate and make sound business decisions.
• Agile and adaptive with rapid learning and prioritization skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration across a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and prices Technology specialty coverages (products, professional, cyber).
• Manages a portfolio to meet premium, profitability, and retention goals.
• Uses underwriting tools and data to justify account decisions.
• Identifies opportunities, mentors teammates, and collaborates with agents.
• Prepares and analyzes information on underwriting decisions and declinations.
