Job summary

Disney Experiences Technology in Orlando is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to identify, plan and coordinate a set of related projects within a program, managing interdependencies and budgets. You will partner with software engineers, product managers, architects and leaders to drive delivery across Agile, Lean, Kanban and Waterfall, establishing governance, controls and ROI tracking.

Requires at least 5 years of technical project management experience, strong cloud/API/database

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of technical project/program management experience with technical teams
Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle
Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping
Hands-on experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall and blending of styles to facilitate delivery
Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
Significant experience coaching and mentoring teams on project mgmt practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall
Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of a project
Experience managing large project budgets
Experience with tools such as Microsoft Suite, Keynote, Smartsheet, MyPPM (Clarity), MyJira, Tableau, PowerBI

Responsibilities

Drives execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
Works with engineering teams to establish processes across program areas for successful delivery
Defines and manages Agile ceremonies and processes for large project teams
Manages hardware/software procurement of assigned projects
Develops a program plan with parallel projects and multiple PMs to achieve significant business impact
Monitors and adjusts program plans to respond to changes while meeting business goals
Creates governance practices and provides senior leadership oversight and control for the program
Implements fiscal controls and reports on program expenditures & ROI
Develops infrastructure needed to support the program
