Job summary

You will work closely with technology management, engineers, and business partners to translate complex requirements into structured implementations, mentor junior staff, and promote industry best practices while adhering to risk and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in infrastructure design technologies, data management and system development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technology management, senior engineers and support teams to implement and manage technical solutions.
• Review infrastructure design, implementation, and documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing.
• Interact with business partners to elicit requirements and ensure clarity of problems/opportunities.
• Coordinate vendor interactions and/or vendor resources as needed.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers and review proposals.
• Expand knowledge of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies.
• Promote industry best practices, standards and procedures.
• Maintain understanding of bank applications and vendor services used by the Bank.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards and escalate issues as needed.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards and address audit/regulator points as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
