Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior for Private Client Services (PCS). The role focuses on tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients, including individuals, estates, trusts, and family offices.

The candidate will participate in engagements, supervise staff, and contribute to business development while handling complex tax matters across federal and state jurisdictions. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, required; CPA certification, required
• Three (3) or more years of prior relevant tax experience
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or EA preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; experience with tax software/tools

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Works with clients and advisors to gather information to prepare tax returns
• Understands complex tax returns across individuals, trusts, estates, and various entities
• Reviews basic tax returns and provides feedback to staff
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses
• Performs advanced tax research and supports PCS leadership
• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborates with teammates
• Supports PCS/firm contributions including billing and training
• Builds relationships with professionals inside and outside the firm
