Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is hiring a Tax Experienced Senior for the Private Client Services (PCS) practice. The role focuses on high-net-worth individuals and families, providing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services across complex tax structures.

You will interact directly with clients, supervise staff, and contribute to business development. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in tax, strong communication skills, and experience in supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of prior tax experience in a professional services setting.
• Experience with private client services is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tax engagements and identify client needs and tax planning opportunities.
• Gather information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Develop understanding of complex returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-corps, foundations and partnerships.
• Review basic returns and provide feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyze tax notices and draft initial responses; perform research and provide recommendations.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines, and participate in PCS/firm initiatives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, required; OR Bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required

Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
