Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior, Private Client Services to provide tax compliance and consulting to high net-worth clients. You will leverage education and experience, demonstrate leadership, and collaborate with clients and advisors.

The role focuses on complex returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-corps, partnerships, and foundations, with opportunities for client development and staff mentorship within a boutique practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; CPA if degree is in another focus area.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Two+ years of tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting.
• CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent preferred; other certifications welcome.
• Experience with private client service is preferred; supervisory exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and helps identify client needs.
• Gather information to prepare tax returns with clients and advisors.
• Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Review basic returns and provide feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyze tax notices and draft initial responses.
• Research technical issues and develop recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prioritize tasks and build relationships with internal and external professionals.
