Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior for Private Client Services to leverage education and experience in providing tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients, with emphasis on estate, gift, and trust taxation. The role requires strong communication, time management, and leadership abilities.

You will work with clients and their advisors, prepare complex returns, and mentor junior staff while navigating a fast-paced environment in a firm known for its Private Client Services expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; CPA certification preferred
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Two or more years of prior tax experience in public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services required
• Experience in private client service preferred

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and enhances skills identifying and addressing client needs
• Works with clients and their advisors to gather information needed to prepare tax returns
• Prepares complex individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns Federal and State
• Reviews basic individual and trust tax returns and provides feedback to staff and interns
• Analyzes tax notices and prepares initial drafts of response
• Identifies technical issues, conducts advanced tax research, and develops recommendations for PCS leadership
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment independently and in teams
• Collaborates and builds relationships with other PCS professionals
