Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director, Transaction Advisory Services in Houston to lead teams on large-firm M&A tax consulting, deal structuring, due diligence, and post-deal integration.

You will collaborate with west region principals, grow the practice, manage client relationships, supervise staff, and guide tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring fiscal discipline and successful transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
• JD or LLM with tax focus preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax preferred.
• Ten+ years in professional services; TAS experience; supervisory experience.
• CPA/Attorney/IRS Enrolled Agent; or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify marketplace opportunities and develop new business.
• Build and manage significant client relationships.
• Mentor staff and contribute to team building.
• Lead due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions.
• Work with BDO offices worldwide and manage engagement teams.
• Advise on tax risks and opportunities for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring.
