Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Tax Manager to lead engagements focused on pass-through entities and closely held businesses. You will own client relationships, supervise staff, and guide engagements from start to finish in a distributed team environment.

The role emphasizes developing junior staff, delivering high-quality tax work, and maintaining strong client communication while navigating multi-state considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience with pass-through entities and closely held businesses.
• CPA license required; strong client-facing and leadership capabilities.
• Experience supervising staff and delivering on multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Review federal and multi-state tax returns for pass-through entities, closely held businesses, C-Corps and individuals.
• Manage multiple client engagements, owning timelines and deliverables.
• Draft GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact, understanding their business needs.
• Keep partners informed of developments and propose solutions.
• Coach and develop staff and seniors; contribute to training initiatives.
• Ensure deadlines and internal/external requirements are met; assist with research.
