PayPal Inc. is seeking an experienced Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global compliance with information reporting and withholding tax rules (FATCA, CRS, CARF, 1099) across products and processes.

The role collaborates with cross-functional partners to assess new products and existing changes for information reporting applicability and to draft new policies as needed. The candidate will identify legal risk, defend positions, and support system development and remediation efforts to

Qualificações

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience and a JD or foreign equivalent.
• Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant tax matters.

Responsabilidades

• Independently advises on complex tax issues affecting business operations and initiatives.
• Develops technical tax analyses supporting planning, reporting positions, and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with business units and Finance leadership to structure initiatives in a tax-efficient manner.
• Identifies tax risk exposures and recommends mitigation strategies aligned with PayPal's risk tolerance.
• Coordinates with outside advisors and manages external engagements.
• Mentors junior attorneys or legal professionals and contributes to knowledge development.
