The Role
This individual will join the Corporate Tax team in Boston, working closely with the Director and team members to manage the State and Local Indirect Tax function, including compliance, audits/controversies, planning, and system integrations for sales/use tax, personal property tax, and similar tax types. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business; Master of Taxation is a plus.
3-5 years of multi-state Indirect tax experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting or a combination of public accounting and in-house tax department.
Experience in preparing and reviewing state and local tax returns and workpapers; indirect tax experience is a plus.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing product data for sales/use tax determinations, and knowledge of multi-state software and technology tax.
CPA certification is a plus.
Proficiency with workflow tools such as Alteryx and Power BI.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with tax compliance software like Vertex and PTMS is preferred.
Experience with ERP and procurement systems such as Oracle R12 and Ariba is advantageous.
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $71,000-$112,000 annually. Placement within this range depends on responsibilities, location, experience, and other factors.
