Sr. Tax Associate
Locations: Stamford, CT / Irving, TX / Ft. Myers, FL
Duration: 6 Months + (Possible Extension)
The Tax Associate will assist the Tax Director with the following responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of all aspects of consolidated provision.
- Work with federal, state, and international teams to compile and analyze results.
- Maintain executive summary deliverables, including CFO presentations.
- Coordinate with FP&A and transfer pricing teams quarterly to rationalize full-year pretax projections by region.
- Compile documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley testing of the consolidated process.
- Draft tax-related financial disclosures.
- Consider developments in financial reporting, changes in financial accounting standards, and changes in business and tax laws.
- Research tax technical accounting questions as necessary.
- Identify items for discussion and draft disclosure committee talking points.
- Work on cash tax and rate guidance in collaboration with FP&A, TP, and tax teams to compile data.
- Prepare scenario analyses and develop guidance ranges quarterly.
- Assess YTD performance against guidance and raise potential risks.
- Develop the annual tax department budget.
- Track YTD spend versus budget and report progress to GVP of tax.
- Ensure audit committee approval for all spend with external auditors.
- Conduct selected research and special projects, such as maintaining global equity compensation summaries, researching US tax treatment on synthetic debt instruments, and proposing tax accounting policies for GILTI.
Skills:
- Tax experience including Global Provision and Financial Reporting.
- Public accounting experience or a mix of public and private is preferred.
- Good communication skills with the ability to identify and effectively communicate status and issues.
- Sense of ownership and understanding of the purpose of assigned tasks.

Education:
BS in Accounting, Business, or Finance (minimum requirement)
Preferred:
MST, CPA, or JD is a plus.
