This fully remote position may involve some travel to client sites and our in-person events.

Responsibilities:
  • Senior Tax Associate Responsibilities:
  • Oversee client tax compliance, ensure deadlines are met, and handle tax-related matters effectively.
  • Collaborate with bookkeeping staff to ensure accurate financial reports.
  • Meet regularly with clients to provide tax advice and growth strategies.
  • Conduct virtual sessions during the sales cycle to inform prospects about our services.
  • Manage client relationships proactively, resolving issues early.
  • Report directly to the CEO.
  • Fractional CFO Responsibilities:
  • Work with leadership teams to develop growth and profit plans, including key projects and budgets.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using FP&A tools, presenting insights clearly to clients.
  • Establish KPIs and bonus structures to motivate staff and enhance profitability.
  • Meet monthly with leadership teams to review performance and address challenges.
  • Lead quarterly tax strategy meetings, discuss profit targets, tax liabilities, and reduction strategies.
  • Ensure timely tax filings and implement agreed-upon strategies to maximize results.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and generate ideas.
  • Extensive business management experience.
  • 5+ years in Federal and State & Local Tax, or experience with at least 100 business returns and 500 personal returns.
  • Ability to research and apply new tax strategies.
  • Experience with IRS and state notices.
  • Highly organized, meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Proficient in QBO, Excel/Sheets; knowledge of Zoh, Drake tax, and Jiray is a plus.
  • Prior fractional CFO experience is a plus.

Compensation: $105,000 - $175,000 annually.
