Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will receive advanced tax training and work with an expert team to build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews, preparing returns, and supporting clients with IRS-related matters. Prior experience with virtual interviews and a fast-paced environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews (video/phone/chat).
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales or marketing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including audit representation where applicable.
• Mentor and support teammates.
