Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team providing advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare complete returns, and help grow the business while delivering IRS support in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

The role requires strong communication, virtual interview experience, and adherence to IRS/state requirements, with opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing individual and complex tax returns.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
