H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by expert training and a supportive team. You will conduct interviews, prepare returns, and help grow the business by offering additional products and services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. Virtual tools and fast-paced environments are common in this position.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (note: Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation)
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
