H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships at a local Block Advisors office in Kansas City.

This in-person role offers industry-leading training and an incentive plan reflecting your impact. You will interview clients, handle complex individual and business returns, provide tax planning guidance, and assist with IRS notices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns.
• Strong client-facing, consultative or advisory experience.
• Must meet IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment.
