Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor (Tax Advisor) to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients, and deliver personalized recommendations. You will build lasting client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and leverage Block Advisors products. This role is in-person at a local Block Advisors office in St. Louis, MO.

You’ll use industry-leading training and technology, with an incentivized plan based on impact and tax expertise development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax preparation, accounting, or related experience.
• Experience with complex individual and business returns.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Must maintain IRS/state requirements and continuing education.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment.
