Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Customs & Tariff Compliance Specialist to manage U.S. customs compliance, tariff programs, and duty recovery across North American operations.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on regulations, mitigation strategies, and government compliance, collaborating with brokers, legal, customers, and agencies. In this role, you will monitor regulatory changes, lead tariff mitigation initiatives, and oversee OEM tariff credit and tariff offset programs, ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as international business or logistics.
• 5+ years of experience in U.S. Customs Compliance, Trade Compliance, Global Trade Management, or International Logistics.
• Strong understanding of CBP regulations, HTS classification, customs valuation, and origin rules.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and communicate CBP regulations and trade laws impacting import/export operations.
• Analyze tariffs and identify mitigation opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Lead OEM tariff credit and tariff offset programs with North American Customs team.
• Manage tariff refund programs and support audits and regulatory inquiries.
