Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to be a trusted advisor to customers and sales teams, translating complex import regulations into practical, cost-saving strategies. This is a customer-facing role focusing on tariff mitigation and ensuring compliant cross-border activity.

You will drive tariff mitigation opportunities, collaborate with sales, brokers, and logistics, and help customers navigate Section 232 exemptions and FTAs, strengthening partnerships while protecting compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in international trade compliance, customs, or related field.
• Experience with Section 232 tariffs and duty optimization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills; translate trade data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with SAP or Global Trade Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary trade compliance partner for customers, advising on tariffs and import requirements.
• Identify and lead tariff mitigation strategies, including Section 232 exemptions and FTAs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to support negotiations.
• Translate complex trade data into actionable recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and internal logistics to ensure compliant import activities.
