Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to act as a trusted advisor to customers and our sales teams, guiding tariffs, import requirements, and duty optimization. You will lead tariff mitigation efforts, including Section 232 exemptions and FTAs, translating complex regulations into practical, cost-saving strategies.

In this role you will partner with sales, commercial teams, and logistics to ensure compliance and drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in international trade compliance, customs, or related field.
Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, Section 232 tariffs, and duty optimization.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to advise customers and sales teams.
Advanced Excel with ability to turn trade data into actionable insights.
Experience with SAP or GTM is a plus.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary trade compliance partner for customers, guiding tariffs, import requirements, and duty optimization.
Identify and lead tariff mitigation strategies, including Section 232 exemptions and FTAs, to deliver cost savings.
Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to support negotiations and reviews.
Translate complex trade data into clear, actionable recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics teams to ensure compliant import activities.
