Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Trade Services Specialist with 4+ years of hands-on trade compliance experience to support Trade Services engagements in the United States.

The role covers customs, tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, FTZs, and related compliance activities, delivering accurate workpapers and client deliverables while coordinating with brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in customs, trade compliance, import operations, or related international trade activities.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and trade compliance activities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and communicate effectively with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities per client requirements and regulations.
• Review entries, documents, and data for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tariff classification, origin, valuation analyses and prepare supporting documentation.
• Execute tariff mitigation, duty drawback and FTZ activities as applicable.
• Manage importer-of-record and import operations tasks; support post-entry processes.
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and audit-ready client deliverables.
• Conduct quality-control reviews and meet service levels and deadlines.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced team members on processes and procedures.
