Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking an experienced engineer to maintain and develop Transmission & Substation (T&S) Standards, ensuring safe, cost-effective designs for 765kV to 4kV assets.

The role involves updating practices, materials specs, and drawings while collaborating across internal teams and with external industry groups. A PE license or advanced degree may reduce required experience, with strong leadership required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license required.
• Minimum 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for T&S Standards including Engineering Practices, Material Specifications, and Drawings.
• Point of contact for technical questions related to material application and design standards.
• Collaborate with Vendors and multiple engineering groups to set design and material standards and ensure safety and constructability.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and provide technical training or mentorship as needed.
• Interface with IEEE, EPRI, EEI, MEA and others to introduce improvements.
• Investigate failure modes and trends to support design standard improvements.
