Job summary

MYR Group Inc. and its family of specialty electrical construction companies are seeking skilled T&D Estimators to join our growing team.

This posting represents an ongoing talent pipeline for ESTIMATOR roles across MYR Group and subsidiaries in locations nationwide, with rolling applications for current and future opportunities. The Estimator leads cost estimation for transmission, distribution and substation projects and coordinates with vendors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proficient in understanding construction and electrical drawings to accurately formulate an estimate.
• Knowledgeable of electrical materials and methods of installation.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Lead estimating team and manage bidding activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and documentation.
• Review project histories to update man-hours and cost data.
• Ensure bids meet submission deadlines and customer requirements.
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and field walks as needed.
