Job summary

Textron Systems seeks a mid-senior Systems Test Engineer to lead testing across hardware, software, and systems. You will own test planning, design, execution, and defect management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure product readiness for military and commercial use.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and hands-on test experience, with potential for project ownership and mentorship, in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading test design, development, and execution.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and requirements allocation.
• Ability to communicate findings to internal and external customers.
• Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and execution of tests for hardware, software, and systems to ensure quality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain test plans, strategies, and procedures.
• Create and script test cases for functional, performance, and security tests.
• Lead test execution and manage controlled testing environments.
• Identify, document, and track defects; drive fixes with developers.
• Collaborate with engineers and program managers to share insights and improvements.
• Prepare test engineering work products and present findings at reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and supervise task progress as needed.
