Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer IV to support strategic weapon system design and test tasks. You will perform requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, and test across advanced programs, with a focus on traceability and verification.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of systems engineering experience, a BS in a relevant engineering field, and an active security clearance with SAP eligibility. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience.
• BS degree in systems, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• MS in Systems Engineering is a plus.
• Familiarity with DoD major acquisition program processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements traceability, system architecture definition, interface management, and risk management for assigned subsystem.
• Conduct system modeling, define concepts of operations, and manage requirements in support of system design.
• Develop subsystem and component manufacturing specifications across the system including verification plans.
• Generate subsystem and component test requirements and work with test team to plan, execute, and evaluate test events.
• Address Engineering Lifecycle requirements from development to manufacturing to fielding and operational support.
• Participate in integration efforts at the subsystem and system level and support higher level program integration efforts.
• Contribute to milestone technical reviews and generate required design documentation.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS and No Magic Cameo highly desired
• Education: BS in systems, mechanical, or electrical engineering; MS in Systems Engineering a plus
• Travel up to 25% of the time
• Active security clearance required; eligibility for SAP clearance is required
• DoD acquisition processes familiarity.
