Textron Systems in Maryland seeks a mid-senior Systems Test Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of tests for hardware, software, and systems, ensuring quality, functionality, and reliability. You will create test plans, write cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to verify that solutions meet specs and user needs before delivery.

As a lead systems test engineer, you will assume project engineering duties, task leadership, and mentor junior engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related technical field) with 5+ years related experience or master’s degree with 3+ years
• Ph.D. in Engineering with up to 2 years’ related experience preferred
• Two years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred
• Experience with hardware and/or software integration, requirements derivation/allocation, or architecture design
• Executing test engineering tasks including requirements analysis, design review, validation planning, test, verification, risk management

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and execution of tests for products (hardware, software, systems) to ensure quality and reliability
• Lead Test Planning & Design: define scope, objectives, resources, and create detailed test plans and procedures
• Lead Test Case Development: write test cases and scripts for functional, performance, security tests
• Lead Test Execution: run tests, monitor process, manage controlled testing environments
• Lead Defect Management: identify, document, report, and track defects
• Lead Collaboration & Feedback: work with developers and managers to provide insights and improvements
• Lead Reporting: present findings to internal review teams and external customers
• Interact daily with technical leads, program managers, planners, technicians, and other engineers
• Travel up to 15% as required
