Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Roy, UT, is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer for the Sentinel (GBSD) program. You will develop test plans, oversee hardware-in-the-loop testing, and coordinate with multiple engineering teams to satisfy contract requirements.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred) and a strong background in guidance, navigation, control algorithms, and test instrumentation. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.
• 3+ years in guidance, navigation, or control algorithms for launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, or aircraft.
• Experience with test plans development and test execution.
• Ability to interface with multiple engineering teams in hardware-in-the-loop labs.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and test processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer contractual needs and translate them into test solutions within schedule/cost constraints.
• Direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules.
• Coordinate with SMEs and test teams to define objectives, requirements, and risks.
• Support instrumentation requirements for hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Oversee test activities for requirement verification and validation.
• Review test plans and approve test readiness and configuration breaks.
