Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Systems Security Engineering Section Lead - M4 in Fullerton, CA. This onsite role drives cyber‑resilient system security, oversees SSE program execution, ensures RMF compliance, and leads a team of engineers through hiring and development.

You will collaborate with Program Managers, CAMs, and IPTLs, engage customers to define SSE requirements, and guide security controls across networks, databases, OSs, and hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM plus 8 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience in System Security Engineering or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Experience with the NIST RMF.
• Demonstrated experience managing and motivating engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance feedback, career planning, and talent development for engineers.
• Translate business strategy into actionable direction for the SSE section.
• Lead workforce planning to ensure right talent at the right time.
• Manage tasking and development opportunities for section members.
• Drive hiring: shape requisitions, interview, and onboarding processes.
• Partner with HR to resolve personnel matters.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, CAMs, and IPTLs to align execution with goals.
• Define SSE requirements with customers and communicate cost and security impacts.
