Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Systems Security Engineering Section Lead - M4 to shape secure systems across critical defense programs. This onsite role requires strong leadership and deep expertise in SSE, cyber security, and RMF processes.

You will mentor engineers, align technical execution with program goals, drive hiring and talent development, and collaborate with customers and program managers to define SSE requirements and risk mitigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience in System Security Engineering or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Experience working with the NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Invest in the growth of engineers: provide performance feedback and career planning.
• Translate strategy into actionable direction for the section and leadership.
• Lead workforce planning to ensure programs have the right talent at the right time.
• Manage tasking and ensure team members are positioned for success and development.
• Drive hiring excellence: shape requisitions, interview candidates, and lead onboarding.
