Job summary

Milwaukee Electric Tool seeks a Sr. Systems Reliability Engineer to lead reliability across electromechanical platforms, integrating electrical hardware, embedded firmware, software, and connected technologies.

You will work with Electrical, Firmware, Software, Systems, Test, Quality, Product, and Service teams to define interfaces, failure modes, and reliability targets. You will drive DFMEA, risk analyses, and verification strategies, translating field data into design improvements and CTQ

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems, or a related discipline).
5+ years of product development, systems engineering, electrical engineering, embedded systems or reliability engineering experience.
Experience applying reliability principles to complex electromechanical and/or embedded systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, component datasheets, and system diagrams.
Knowledge of embedded firmware architectures and hardware–firmware interfaces.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional reliability efforts for new platform reference designs and engineering changes.
Translate user requirements, field performance, and warranty insights into reliability requirements and design improvements.
Establish CTQ targets reflecting use, conditions, service needs, and customer expectations.
Lead risk assessments (DFMEA, interface risk, fault propagation) throughout development.
Develop risk-based verification and validation strategies and test plans for reliability.
