Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Sr. Systems Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership across electrical, embedded, software, and firmware interfaces. You will define reliability requirements, lead risk assessments, and drive design improvements throughout product development.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Electrical, Firmware, Software, and Service teams. You will develop verification strategies, analyze test and field data (Weibull, life-data, DOE), and communicate

Qualifications

BS in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems or related).
5+ years in product development, systems or reliability engineering.
Experience applying reliability principles to complex electromechanical or embedded systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and system diagrams.
Experience leading DFMEA and structured reliability analyses.
Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional reliability efforts for new platform designs and engineering changes.
Translate user needs and warranty insights into reliability requirements.
Establish CTQ targets reflecting use, environment, and customer needs.
Identify interface and system-level reliability risks across architectures.
Lead risk assessments and CTQ-driven design improvements.
Support advanced engineering on high-risk technologies.
Communicate progress, blockers, and risks across the organization.
Develop risk-based verification and validation strategies.
Create test plans to meet reliability and service targets.
Collaborate with test labs and engineering teams on validation.
Analyze test/field data using Weibull, life-data, and DOE methods.
Draw defensible conclusions and recommend mitigations.
Lead FRACA activities and ensure corrective actions address root causes.
Translate service and warranty learnings into design requirements.
