Job summary

Raytheon in San Diego is seeking a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support radar capability development. You will plan, execute, and document system integration and testing in lab environments, focusing on Linux-based platforms.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, with MATLAB, Python, shell scripting, and Linux proficiency. Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally is expected; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science/engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with systems engineering, data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Perl, Shell scripting and Linux/Unix.
Experience wiring hardware/software testing in an engineering lab.
Solid networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and document system integration and test activities for a radar program in a lab.
Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware/software on Linux-based systems.
Troubleshoot system-level issues with guidance from senior engineers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.
Support test readiness reviews, execution, and post-test analysis.
Adhere to safety, quality standards, and program processes.
Willing to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
