Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer in San Diego, CA to advance radar capability development. You will plan, execute, and document integration and test activities for a laboratory radar program, focusing on Linux-based systems and hardware-software interplay.

The role requires 8+ years in STEM, experience in systems engineering, MATLAB/Python, and hands-on lab testing; travel up to 15% domestically and internationally may be needed. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in systems engineering, data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.
Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Perl, Shell scripting, Linux/Unix.
Experience in hardware/software testing in an engineering lab.
Fundamental networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and document system integration and test activities for a radar program in a lab.
Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software on Linux-based systems.
Troubleshoot system-level issues in software, hardware, and OS.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.
Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.
Adhere to safety, quality standards, and program processes.
