Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities in San Diego seeks a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to advance radar capability development. You'll perform hands-on hardware/software testing in Linux-based lab environments and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of related experience, experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, and scripting, and travel up to 15%. U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance are prerequisites.

Qualifications

Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, Shell, Linux/Unix.
Experience with hardware/software testing in an engineering lab environment.
Experience with networking principles.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware and operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution and post-test analysis.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program-specific processes.
Willingness to support up to 15% domestic and international travel.
