Job summary
Raytheon in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Long Range Radars team. You will support X-Band radar technology, performing radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our San Diego location.
The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and strong skills in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux/Unix. Some travel and DoD clearance eligibility are required.
Qualifications
- STEM degree + 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux/Unix.
- Experience in systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Participate in integration and test planning/execution, verification/validation events, and scenario-based analysis.
- Complete system performance assessments and validation testing.
- Execute integration plans and testing activities per milestones and schedules.
- Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for integration, verification, testing and data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-program leads to generate test approaches and ensure test-setup readiness.
- Ensure tests comply with DoD tech release and export licensing policies.
