Job summary

Körber is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering for large-scale system integration projects in the Parcel Logistics team based in Irving, Texas. You will own the execution from concept through commissioning, coordinating multiple disciplines to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage the technical delivery, collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing, and travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customer integration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of system-level engineering experience, preferably in material handling or automation.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools: Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks; able to produce full technical data packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects; act as primary technical contact for customers and internal teams.
• Translate requirements into actionable engineering plans; coordinate mechanical design, equipment specs, and on-site implementation.
• Collaborate across Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, Software to align deliverables and drive schedule adherence.
• Manage engineering execution from kick-off through commissioning; provide site support and FAT/SAT participation.
• Oversee internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams or outsourced partners, per project.
• Apply understanding of conveyor, singulation, sortation and material handling tech to ensure system performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, cost, and scope during planning.
• Travel up to 30% to support customer integration projects.
