Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 in the Mission Systems Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division. This onsite Front Line Manager role will oversee an engineering team of about 10 technical leaders (E100), with an 80/20 mix of program/capture work and functional leadership.

Qualifications include a TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years in STEM with leadership, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics with 8+ years of experience; Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics with 6+ years of experience.
• Previous leadership or management experience
• Experience in SIGINT, Cyber (Offensive or Defensive), Non-Kinetic, Cryptography, or related mission areas.
• Technical leadership experience in SEIT/EPM, Chief Engineer, IPT, System Architect, or equivalent role in capture/program lifecycle phases.
• Working knowledge of program execution, technical baseline management, staffing, engineering metrics and training resources, processes, and tools.
• Experience leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations.
• Proficiency in technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis and solution development.

Responsibilities

• Support C&IS business unit as Engineering Frontline Manager by contributing to C&IS program(s)/captures(s) and providing people leadership for technical leaders in E100 roles through talent development, mentoring/coaching, staffing planning, engagement, retention, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute technical scope as leadership roles such as SEIT, Chief Engineer, EPM, IPT/CAM, or task order/project lead.
• Ensure rigorous planning, technical baseline & cost/schedule management, metrics management, and issue resolution as related to engineering execution.
• Develop technical leaders to ensure business success and support talent pipeline development.
• Oversee administration for frontline organization, including budgets, processes, staffing, workload forecasts, and EWW.
• Collaborate with leaders on resourcing programs and meeting diverse demands.
• Collaborate with discipline engineering to share best practices and accelerate standards adoption.
• Travel up to 25%.
