Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a frontline engineering team in the C&IS BEE organization. The role supports a 80/20 split between direct program work and indirect leadership of about 10 technical leaders across multiple NGMS locations, including Roy, UT.

You will drive planning rigor, technical baselines, and staffing while developing leaders and collaborating with other leaders to meet diverse demands. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a STEM degree for Bachelor's; 6+ years with a Master's.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Professional experience in SIGINT, Cyber, Non-Kinetic, Cryptography, or related mission areas.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in SEIT/EPM, Chief Engineer, IPT, System Architect, or equivalent roles.
• Knowledge of program execution, technical baseline management, staffing, engineering metrics and training resources, processes and tools.
• Experience leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
• Willingness to work onsite at NGMS C&IS locations (e.g., Roy, UT).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineering Frontline Manager, providing leadership for technical leaders in E100 roles.
• Lead technical scope and program/capture activities.
• Ensure rigorous planning, baseline management, metrics, and issue resolution.
• Develop technical leaders to enable business success.
• Oversee front-line admin, budgets, staffing, and workloads.
• Collaborate with leaders on resourcing and discipline best practices.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
