Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to act as an Engineering Frontline Manager in the C&IS BEE for the Cyber and Intelligence Solutions unit. The role is onsite at multiple NGMS locations, including Cincinnati, OH, and reports to the BEE Department Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics with 8+ years of experience; Masters degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Professional experience in SIGINT, Cyber (Offensive or Defensive), Non-Kinetic, Cryptography, or related mission areas.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience in SEIT/EPM, Chief Engineer, IPT, System Architect, or equivalent role in capture/program lifecycle phase(s).
• Working knowledge of program execution, technical baseline management, staffing, engineering metrics and training resources, processes, and tools.
• Experienced in leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations.
• Proficiency in technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis and solution development.
• A current/active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Engineering Frontline Manager, guiding technical leaders in E100 roles through mentoring, staffing, and engagement.
• Provide technical scope including roles such as SEIT, Chief Engineer, EPM, IPT, CAM, or project leads.
• Ensure rigorous planning, baseline management, cost/schedule tracking, metrics, and issue resolution across engineering execution.
• Develop technical leaders to drive business success and talent pipelines.
• Oversee front-line admin, budgets, staffing, workload forecasts, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with other leaders on resourcing and balancing demands across diverse business units.
• Share best practices with discipline engineering teams to accelerate sector standards adoption.
• Travel up to 25%.
